There is also a gallery of photographs, a theatre with a seating of around 80 people, a gift shop from which you can buy a Bob Marley record to enjoy later and a café that specializes in Jamaican food.

The museum is open between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. every day except Sunday and provides a guided tour of about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Visit Rose Hall

If you are a history lover and like to visit historical places, Rose Hall is a must see. Carefully restored during the 1960s and built in the 1770s, Rose Hall is known to be one of the most significant and historic mansions in Jamaica. The interior is decorated with silk wallpaper, a collection of antiques from Europe, and a beautiful chandelier. There is also a museum that showcases the mansion’s history of slavery.

A lot of people visit Rose Hall to appreciate the beautiful architecture and opulent furnishings of the place but a major attraction of Rose Hall is the White Witch. According to local legend, the spirit of former plantation owner Annie Palmer haunts the grounds of the mansion.

It is believed that she used to practice voodoo and witchcraft and it is also rumored that she killed all of her four husbands. Hence, those interested in the legend come to take a guided tour of the mansion. For those feeling especially brave, haunted night tours are also offered.

Listen to live Reggae

Reggae music can be heard around the world but if you come to its birthplace and don’t hear it, then you are missing out something important in Jamaica.
